Crinoids

Crinoids was inspired by my love of the ocean and its creatures. I have an affinity for blue hues, but this piece captured my orange fancy and became something unexpected: the ancient marine animals called crinoids, or feather stars. I embedded fibers and broken glass to bring these creatures to life on the canvas.
