Mermaids

Mermaids are fascinating creatures to me. I find their ambiguous and obscure identity lends itself to a multitude of interpretations. The colors, movement and textures in this piece reminded me of the mysteries beneath the surface. Broken glass, fibers and layers of impasto paint enhance the imagery.
