The name Mystical Forest was inspired by my passion for the Pacific Northwest forests, where I spend a lot of time. The lush green moss and rich browns exude a mysterious feeling. I love basking in the presence of the towering cedars. In this painting, I wanted to portray them in their full glory. Layers of the woodland ecosystem, although decaying, have a colorful vibrancy given they fuel new plant growth.
