Subtle Reflection

This painting got its name after one of my favorite Pacific Northwest hikes. The dense wooded forest surrounding the lake gave an overbearing reflection in the water that just captured my heart. I wanted to put this image onto the canvas, as photographing just wouldn't give it the impressionistic look I was wanting. Layers of warm hues give off a feeling of joy.
